Bethlehem house facilitates Healing the Culture classes:
A person’s idea of “happiness” will determine how that person forms her or his identity, values, goals and decisions. This curriculum is based on Fr. Robert Spitzer’s model of “four levels of happiness.” The program identifies four key ways of viewing “meaning and purpose” in life, and shows how to keep a proper balance between them. There are six one half hour video sessions in the curriculum with accompanying worksheets. The women schedule times to go through the sessions with staff.
Earn While You Learn:
The Earn While You Learn curriculum contains 45 lessons in 9 modules that take a woman from early pregnancy to three months after the baby is born, with a lesson and homework assignment for each one-hour session. The lessons cover pregnancy, postpartum care, the developing pre-born, the emotional needs and physical care of a newborn, first aid, foundations of discipline, bonding, abstinence, and much more. Each client receives a personalized lesson plan that maps out each week’s lesson.
