A home, not just a shelter

A roof over one’s head, walls to keep out cold and heat, yes, but most of all a place where each guest feels loved and where she is shown how to love herself – where each guest is helped to find and develop her own unique talents so that upon departing she will be on a path to make the contribution to the world God has planned for her, and to provide opportunities for her newborn which may not have been afforded to her.

Clearly, the American family is the basic unit of our society; unfortunately, many recent statistics indicate a serious weakening of the family structure in America. We have identified responsible parenting as the most crucial issue our society needs to confront.

We believe that every child comes not just with a right to live, but with a right to a life; that is, a right to responsible parenting with loving care, education, and encouraging support as the top life priorities, so that our mission at Bethlehem House is to compassionately and zealously launch lives on the upward path of responsibility, growth, and community spirit. Now, if your feelings are anywhere close to ours, we would like to offer you the opportunity to learn more about Bethlehem House. Please contact Gina at (402) 502-9224 or gfreimuth@cox.net. We would love to offer you a tour, group presentation, family presentation or meeting of any kind.

Our mission: “We will provide support to pregnant women to choose life for their unborn child in a residential environment both during and after pregnancy. We will educate the woman on child care and personal life skills to assist them to be self sufficient.”
